method
1. Gently melt the 55 g (2 oz) butter in a large pan and sauté the apple slices for 4-5 minutes or until soft.
2. In a separate pan, melt the butter and fry the breadcrumbs, sugar and cinnamon for 3 - 4 minutes.
3. Place a layer of apples on the base of an ovenproof dish, then top with the breadcrumb mixture. Repeat this process, finishing with a layer of breadcrumbs.
4. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
5. Sprinkle with icing sugar and serve.
