method
1. Make the pasta by placing all the pasta ingredients into a food processor. Blend to a crumb consistency.
2. Take the pasta out of the food processor and knead for a few minutes to form a smooth dough.
3. Wrap the pasta in cling film and allow to rest in the fridge for 5-10 minutes.
4. Meanwhile, make the tomato sauce. Heat the olive oil over high heat. Add the chopped garlic and cook for one minute.
5. Pour in the tin of tomatoes, taking care as the tomatoes will splatter in the hot oil.
6. Cook for 3-4 minutes before adding the double cream.
7. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm.
8. Flatten the pasta with a rolling pin and roll out the dough using a pasta machine.
9. Cut the pasta into long threads and hang it to dry for a few minutes.
10. Boil the pasta in a large pot of salted water for two minutes.
11. Drain and toss in the pasta sauce.
Serve immediately with a sprinkling of chopped basil leaves.
