Iced Cafe au Lait

ingredients

serves 4
300 ml (1/2 pt) hot extra strong coffee, freshly made
300 ml (1/2 pt) hot milk
sugar to taste
60 ml (4 tbsp) double cream, lightly whipped

method

1. Combine the coffee and milk, and sweeten to taste. Cover and leave to cool, then refrigerate until cold.

2. Pour into four chilled glasses and serve, topped with the whipped cream.
