1. Trim off and discard the green ends of the spring onions. Slice the white parts very thinly.
2. Peel and finely chop the ginger.
3. Halve and seed the chillies. Slice finely. Finely chop the garlic.
4. Stir together the hoisin sauce, passata, spring onions, ginger, chillies, garlic and sesame oil, if using Serve within 1 hour.
