method
1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) gas 4
2. Add the turnips to a pan of boiling water.
3. Return to the boil and cook for 5 minutes just to soften them.
4. Drain and refresh under hot water and leave to dry out a bit.
5. Gently heat the mustard, honey and oil together and season with a little salt and pepper.
6. Place the turnips on a non-stick baking sheet, pour the honey over them and sprinkle with thyme.
7. Bake in the oven until golden brown and sticky, about 1 3/4 hours, or until cooked through, basting occasionally with the glaze so that they brown evenly.
