Pilchard Pâté

This pate can also be used as a dip or as a stuffing for tomatoes or celery.

ingredients

serves 4 - 6
350 g (12 oz) canned pilchards in tomato sauce
175 g (6 oz) cottage cheese
30 ml (2 tbsp) lemon juice
1 clove garlic, crushed
salt and pepper

method

1. Blend everything together well until smooth. Chill.

2. Either serve in individual pots, garnished with a slice of tomato or some parsley, or turn the mixture into a serving dish.
