method
1. Peel, quarter and core the apple and slice thinly.
2. Place the apple and blackberries with the water in a saucepan.
3. Cover and simmer over a moderate heat for 8 - 10 minutes until the apple is tender.
4. Sweeten to taste with artificial sweetener.
5. Grease a 1 1/2 pint (900 ml) deep ovenproof dish with the margarine.
6. Spoon the fruit into the greased dish.
7. Pour the milk into a saucepan and heat until steaming.
8. Sprinkle the semolina and sugar into the milk and bring to the boil, stirring all the time.
9. Boil for 4 - 5 minutes, stirring continuously until it begins to thicken.
10. Pour the semolina on top of the blackberry and apple and transfer to a hot oven, Gas Mark 6, 200°C, 400°F, for 25 - 30 minutes.
