1. Melt half the butter in a frying pan, add the apple rings and fry gently until soft. Transfer to a warmed dish, keep hot.
2. Melt remaining butter in the pan, add the liver and fry gently for about 2 minutes on each side until tender.
3. Meanwhile cook the bacon under a preheated medium grill until crisp.
4. Transfer the liver to a warmed serving dish. Arrange the apple rings on top and the bacon around the edge.
5. Serve immediately.
