Crispy Beef #2

ingredients

serves: 4
450 g (1 lb) raw beef cut into thin shreds
6 garlic cloves, mashed
1 x 5 cm piece of fresh ginger, grated
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tbsp chopped coriander
4 tbsp greek yoghurt
2 eggs, beaten
140 g (5 oz) breadcrumbs, toasted
vegetable oil for frying
Shredded chinese lettuce to serve

method

1. Combine the beef in a bowl with the garlic, ginger, chilli power, coriander and yoghurt.

2. Allow to marinate overnight if possible.

3. Dip the beef shreads into the egg, separating them if possible, then fold into the breadcrumbs.

4. As you coat the beef, separate the pieces.

5. Deep fry small batches of beef pieces in the hot oil until crispy and golden, 3 - 4 minutes only.

6. Serve with lettuce.
