2.3 litre (4 pt) water
6 whole cloves
2.5-cm (1-in) stick of cinnamon
25 g (1 oz) tea
100 g (4 oz) sugar
150 ml (1/4 pt) orange juice or squash
juice of 2 lemons

method
Add the spices to the water and bring to the boil.
Pour on to the tea in a bowl and allow to infuse for 5 minutes.
Stir, add the sugar, stir again until dissolved and add the strained fruit juices.
If necessary, re-heat before serving, by placing it over a low heat - do not simmer or boil.
