1. Cook the penne in lightly salted, boiling water for about 10 minutes until tender Drain well.
2. Place the sardines and their tomato sauce in a bowl. Mash with a fork. Stir in the lemon juice, basil and seasoning.
3. Return the pasta to a large saucepan. Add the sardine mixture.
4. Heat through for 2 - 3 minutes and serve hot.
