Teriyaki beef noodles

ingredients

serves 4
4 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce
3 tablespoons tomato ketchup
2 garlic cloves, chopped
350 g (12 oz) rump steak, trimmed of any fat and cut into thin strips
225 g (8 oz) medium egg noodles
low fat cooking spray
1 red onion, sliced
225 g (8 oz) savoy cabbage, shredded finely
150 g (5 1/2 oz) sugar snap peas

method

1. Mix together the Teriyaki sauce, tomato ketchup and garlic in a shallow non-metallic dish.

2. Place the strips of steak in this mixture. Mix well and leave to marinate for 30 minutes.

3. Meanwhile, place the noodles in a bowl and pour boiling water over them. Leave them to stand for 10 minutes and then drain well.

4. Drain the beef, but reserve the marinade.

5. Spray a large non stick wok or frying pan with low fat cooking spray, and stir fry the beef for 5 minutes over a high heat.

6. Add the onion, cabbage and sugar snap peas, and stir fry for a further 2 minutes.

7. Add the noodles and the reserved marinade to the pan. Heat through for 5 minutes and then serve.

If you really need pictures of garlic, cabbage, beef, and onions to know what they are then you probably shouldnt be cooking!

This recipe is not good. I poured boiling water over the noodles and let them sit for ten minutes and they came out mushy! Waste of my time and money! Two thumbs down
