15 g (1/2 oz) polyunsaturated margarine
a pinch of ground cinnamon
1 tablespoon golden syrup
2 tablespoons dark rum
2 bananas, peeled
method
1. Melt the margarine in a small frying pan, and add the cinnamon, golden syrup and rum. Cook until the mixture bubbles.
2. Slice the bananas in half lengthways and then cut across each half. Add the banana pieces to the pan and cook for 5 - 8 minutes, spooning the pan juices over the bananas, until they begin to soften.
3. Serve the bananas with the pan juices spooned over them.
