method
1. Preheat the oven to Gas Mark 5/190°C/fan oven 170°C.
2. Line a 20 cm (8 inch) non stick square baking tin with non stick baking parchment.
3. Place the margarine, sugar and syrup in a small saucepan and heat gently until they are dissolved.
4. Stir in the cinnamon, cherries, rolled oats and sesame seeds, and mix thoroughly.
5. Press the mixture into the prepared tin and bake for 20 minutes.
6. Mark out 10 fingers while the flapjack is still warm.
