method
1. Drain sardines and arrange in a shallow serving dish.
2. Slice onions in thin rings.
3. Place onion rings in a bowl, cover with vinegar and stir in a good pinch of salt. Leave for 10 minutes then drain.
4. Chop hard-boiled eggs coarsely.
5. Sprinkle onion rings, chopped eggs and capers over sardines.
6. Serve with wedges of lemon.
