Pineapple cider cup

ingredients

makes about 5.5 litre (1 1/4 gal).
4.5 litre (1 gal) cider
1 orange
1 lemon
340 g (12 oz) can pineapple pieces,
drained
12 maraschino cherries
150 g ml (1/4 pt) sherry
600 ml (1 pt) soda water
sprigs of mint

method

1. Chill the cider in the bottles.

2. Pare the orange and lemon rind free of all the white pith and put in a bowl with the pineapple pieces, cherries, sherry, orange juice and lemon juice and chill.

3. Just before serving, pour the cider and soda water over this mixture and decorate with sprigs of mint.
