4 dashes Angostura bitter
1 small sugar lump
juice of 1/4 lemon
15 ml (1 tbsp) brandy, optional
champagne, chilled in the bottle
lemon slice to decorate
method
1. Pour the bitters over the sugar lump and put into a glass.
2. Add the strained lemon juice and brandy if you wish and fill up with champagne.
