1. Put the cheese into a bowl, cover with the milk and place in the refrigerator overnight.
2. When ready to serve, preheat the grill.
3. Brush the bread on both sides with the garlic, drain the cheese and arrange on the bread.
4. Cover with the tomato slices and cook under the grill for about 5 minutes, or until barely golden on top.
5. Arrange the bread on a platter and serve immediately.
