Quick Goulash

ingredients

serves 4
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, chopped, or 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
3 tbls (25 g) 1 oz corn flour (corn starch)
1 lb (450 g) canned stewed steak
4 oz (100 g) tomato puree (paste)
2 teaspoons paprika
1 tablespoons dried red and green peppers
150 g (5 oz) natural yogurt

method

1. Heat the oil in a saucepan and fry the fresh onion, if using, until softened.

2. Stir in the cornflour and cook until the oil is absorbed.

3. Stir in the stewed steak, tomato puree, paprika, peppers and onion flakes, if using.

4. Cook gently for 10 to 20 minutes.

5. Stir in the yogurt just before serving, with boiled rice or creamed potatoes.
