Nutty Cheese Biscuits

ingredients

makes 20
4 oz (100 g) Cheddar cheese, grated
4 oz (100 g) soft margarine
3/4 cup (100 g) 4 oz flour
1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
3 oz (75 g) porridge oats
4 oz (100 g) peanuts, chopped

method

1. Cream together the cheese and margarine.

2. Sift the flour and mustard into a bowl and mix in the oats and nuts.

3. Add this to the creamed mixture and knead together lightly.

4. Pull off walnut-sized pieces and shape them into balls.

5. Arrange on a greased baking sheet and flatten the balls.

6. Bake in a preheated moderate oven 180°C (350°F) Gas Mark 4 for 15 to 20 minutes.
