Cheese Pudding #2

ingredients

serves 4
8 oz (225 g) white bread, crusts removed and diced
175 g (6 oz) Cheddar cheese, grated
3 eggs
1 pint (600 ml) tepid milk
salt
pepper

method

1. Mix together the bread and cheese.

2. Beat the eggs with the milk, salt and pepper and mix into the bread and cheese.

3. Pour into a buttered 1.2 litre (2 pint) pie dish.

4. Bake in a preheated moderately hot oven 190°C (375°F) Gas Mark 5 for 50 minutes.
