1 bowling fowl, cut into joints
2 tomatoes, sliced
1 onion, sliced
1 carrot, sliced
3 tablespoons rice
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1. Put all the ingredients in a saucepan and just cover with water.
2. Bring to the boil, then simmer for 3 to 4 hours or until the chicken is tender the cooking time will vary according to the age of the bird.
