7 g (1/4 oz) whole cloves
7 g (1/4 oz) whole mace blades
7 g (1/4 oz) whole allspice berries
6 peppercorns

method
1. Tie the spices loosely in muslin and drop into a bottle of vinegar.
2. Leave for 2 months, shaking the bottle daily.
