Curried Wheat Biscuits

ingredients

1 cup (100 g) 1/4 lb wholemeal (whole grain) flour
1 tsp (5 ml) curry powder
1/2 stick (4 Tbsp) 2 oz (50 g) butter
45 ml (3 tbls) natural (plain) yogurt

method

1. Heat the oven to gas mark 6/200°C (400°F).

2. Put the flour and curry powder into a bowl and rub in the butter.

3. Make a well in the centre and add the yogurt.

4. Mix everything to a dough and roll it out thinly.

5. Cut it into small, square bars and lay them on a well-floured baking sheet.

6. Prick them all over with a fork and bake them for 20 minutes.

7. Cool on a wire rack.
