Butterscotch Sauce #2

ingredients

1/2 stick (2 oz) 50 g butter
4 tbsp soft brown sugar
2 tbsp golden syrup (substitute light corn syrup)
squeeze of lemon juice

method

1. Measure butter, sugar and syrup into a pan and heat gently, stirring until the sugar has dissolved.

2. Bring to the boil and cook for 1 minute.

3. Stir in the lemon juice and serve at once.
