700 g (1 1/2lb) fresh haddock fillet
1 onion, skinned and finely chopped
juice of 1/2 a lemon
1 tsp (5 ml) Worcestershire sauce
salt and pepper
5 fl oz (142 ml) carton single cream
method
1. Wash and skin the fish, place it in a greased ovenproof dish and sprinkle with the onion.
2. Mix the lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, seasoning and cream and pour over the fish.
3. Cover with a lid or foil and bake in the oven at 180°C (350°F) mark 4 for 20-30 minutes, or until the fish and onions are cooked. (Don't worry if the cream curdles.)
