Blackcurrant Float

ingredients

serves 4
2 3/4 cups (21 fl oz) 600 ml milk
4 tbsp blackcurrant jam, sieved, or 1/4 pt (150 ml) fresh blackcurrant puree
sugar to taste
few drops red food colouring vanilla ice cream

method

1. Whisk the milk, jam or puree, sugar and red colouring together in a blender and chill well.

2. Pour into tall glasses and top with a spoonful of vanilla ice cream.
