method
1. Wash, dry, quarter, core and slice the apples.
2. Peel the oranges and remove all the pith, cut across the oranges to form round slices and then quarter each slice.
3. Wash and dry the grapes and, if preferred, cut them in half and remove the pips.
4. Coarsely chop the walnuts. Mix all the salad ingredients in a bowl. Whip the cream with the vanilla sugar until stiff, stir in the orange juice and liqueur and spoon the mixture over the fruit salad.
It is not essential to stick rigidly to the ingredients listed. Any seasonal fruit can be included and appropriate liqueur can be used to flavour the cream.
