method
1. Make up the potato mix with the boiling water.
2. Mix in the milk, margarine or butter, sugar and salt.
3. Stir to melt the margarine, then allow to cool until lukewarm.
4. Dissolve the yeast in the lukewarm water and add to the mixture with the eggs.
5. Add 175 g (6 oz) of flour and beat until smooth.
6. Cover and stand in a warm place for about 2 hours, until full of bubbles.
7. Add sufficient of the remaining flour to make a soft dough.
8. Turn out and knead for 5 minutes.
9. Cover with greased polythene and allow to rise until double in bulk then knead again for 1 minute.
10. Divide into two equal portions.
11. Shape each portion into a roll and cut into 16 pieces.
12. Roll each piece into a long sausage shape and twist lightly.
13. Lay on greased baking trays, cover with greased polythene and allow to rise again until double in size.
14. Brush with a little salt dissolved in hot water.
15. Bake in the oven Gas mark 7, 425°F (220°C) for 10-12 minutes.
