Barbecued haddock

ingredients

serves 2
1 1/2 tbsp Oil
1 1/2 tsp Lemon juice
1 tbsp Soft brown sugar
1/4 tsp Chilli powder
1/2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp Tomato puree
1 lb (450 g) Smoked haddock

method

1. Mix together oil, lemon juice, sugar, chilli powder, Worcestershire sauce and tomato puree in a shallow dish. Add the haddock, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 1 hour, turning fish once or twice. Preheat the grill.

2. Remove fish from marinade and place on a large piece of foil on the grill pan. Grill for 5-7 minutes on each side, brushing with marinade from time to time.

3. Alternatively, place the fish in a fish holder and barbecue over charcoal.
