Potatoes Cakes German Style (Kartoffelkroketten)

ingredients

serves 10
1 kg potatoes
25 g butter
1 egg
100 g flour
salt, pepper and nutmeg

method

1. Cook 1 kg potatoes in salted water, drain, mash and combine with 25 g butter, 1 egg, 100 g flour, salt, pepper and nutmeg.

2. Mould into 30 small oval cakes, mark trellis-fashion and shallow fry in oil until light golden on both sides.
