method
1. Cream the butter and caster sugar till light and fluffy.
2. Beat the eggs thoroughly and add to the butter mixture.
3. Stir in the sifted flour, cocoa powder, potato and salt.
4. Add sufficient milk to make a soft consistency.
5. Pour the chocolate mixture into a greased 1.15 litre (2 pt) basin, cover and steam for 1 1/2 hours.
6. Turn out and serve with either custard or a chocolate sauce.

Are the cooked, sieved potatoes really supposed to be in this recipe?
