1. Cook asparagus in boiling salted water for 15-20 minutes till tender. Drain carefully on a tea-towel or kitchen paper, then place on a warmed serving dish and cool slightly. Sprinkle Parmesan over the asparagus tips.
2. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over a low heat. When golden brown, pour over the Parmesan. Serve immediately.
