1. In a large bowl, stir one crushed garlic clove and 2 tablespoons of the olive oil into the tomatoes. Season well and allow to stand for 10 minutes.
2. Lightly toast the ciabatta slices on both sides, halve the remaining garlic cloves, then rub both sides of the toast with the cut side of the garlic and drizzle with a little olive oil. Add the basil to the tomato mixture and spoon it on top of the ciabatta, then serve.
