2 cups (500 ml) vanilla ice cream
2 oz (50 g) chopped walnuts
for the decoration
125 ml (4 fl oz) double cream (heavy cream)
6 maraschino cherries
1. Split the bananas in half lengthways and place in small oval dishes.
2. Place 2 small scoops or slices of ice cream between the banana halves.
3. Coat the ice cream with Melba sauce, and sprinkle with the chopped nuts.
4. Whip the cream until stiff and sweeten to taste. Decorate with the cream and cherries.
