1. Mix together the meat, onion, garlic, the chilli, if using, and seasoning to taste. Shape the mixture into eight burgers. Heat the oil in a frying pan and cook the burgers for 2 - 3 minutes on either side.
2. Serve the burgers in baps with lettuce, tomato slices and sweetcorn relish, garnished with tomato wedges, baby gherkins and lettuce. Alternatively, serve with mashed potatoes and Ratatouille.
Cook's Tip
For a low-calorie meal use lean minced beef and serve burgers on thick slices of Iceberg or Webb's lettuce. Top with low-calorie salad dressing.
