1 kg (2 lb) broccoli, trimmed
salt and freshly ground pepper
50 g (2 oz) butter
50 g (2 oz) flaked almonds
30 ml (2 tbsp) lemon juice
method
1. Cook the broccoli in boiling salted water for 10 15 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, melt the butter in another pan. Add the almonds and cook over a gentle heat for about 5 minutes until golden brown. Stir in the lemon juice and seasoning.
3. Drain the broccoli well and turn into a warmed serving dish. Spoon over the almond mixture.
