1. Put the grated potatoes into a clean piece of muslin and squeeze out as much moisture as possible.
2. Now combine the raw potato, mashed potato, flour, baking powder, salt and butter.
3. Turn the mixture on to a well floured surface and divide into four equal portions.
4. Roll each into a round about 6 mm (1/4 in) thick and mark into four quarters.
5. Place on a greased baking tray and bake in the oven Gas mark 4, 350°F (180°C) for 40 minutes.
6. Divide into four and serve very hot with butter.
