method
1. Mash the Stilton cheese with 1 tablespoon of the yogurt and set aside.
2. Place the curd cheese in a bowl and beat in the remaining yogurt, and salt and pepper to taste.
3. Peel, halve and core the pears. Divide the Stilton filling between each cavity.
4. Arrange the lettuce on a serving dish and place the pears, cut side down, on top. Spoon over the yogurt and curd cheese mixture and sprinkle with the chives. Serve the pears chilled.
Chives can be grown successfully in a flower pot on a sunny window-sill. The easiest way to chop them is to use a pair of sharp scissors.
