Believe it or not, this is a breakfast dish! I saw it on the breakfast menu of a Hungarian restaurant in Jerusalem and was shocked. For those with conservative breakfast tastes, however, it makes a great, quick dessert.
ingredients
8 ounces egg noodles
2 cups water
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup ground walnuts
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup margarine, melted
method
1. Boil the noodles in the salted water for 10 minutes. Drain noodles well.
2. Combine the walnuts and cinnamon in a bowl with the sugar.
3. Serve a portion of noodles to each guest and let them help themselves to the nut mixture.
