Another hot winter drink, popular in Austria and Hungary
4 cups milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
4 tablespoons sugar
1/2 cup brandy
pinch of grated nutmeg
1. In a saucepan, add all the ingredients in the order given except the nutmeg.
2. Beat constantly over medium heat, using a wire whisk (hoop-shaped, with a wire coiled round).
3. Reduce heat and continue to beat, whisking constantly until the mixture is very frothy.
4. Serve immediately, sprinkled with a pinch of grated nutmeg.
