Chicken Tikka #2

ingredients

serves 4 - 6
140 ml (1/4 pint) natural yoghurt
1 tsp chilli powder
2 tsps ginger paste
2 tsps garlic paste
2 tsps garam masala
1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp red food colouring
Juice of 1 lemon
1.5 kg (3 lb) roasting chicken, cut into 8 - 10 pieces
Oil for brushing

method

1. In a large bowl, mix together the yoghurt, chilli powder, ginger and garlic pastes, garam masala, salt, colouring and lemon juice.

2. Add the chicken pieces to the yoghurt mixture and mix in well to ensure they are evenly coated.

3. Line a grill pan with aluminium foil and arrange the chicken pieces on this, together with the yoghurt sauce. Preheat the grill to moderate and grill the chicken pieces for about 5 - 6 minutes on each side, brushing with a little oil if necessary, to prevent them burning.

FIRST ATTEMPT AND TURNED OUT LOVELY DIDNT WORRY ABOUT THE FOOD COLOURING UNNECESSARY SERVED IT WITH PITTAS AND SALAD WITH RAITA DIP YUMMY!!!!!
