1. Heat the grill without the grid to high.
2. Cut each bacon slice in half and wrap each piece around a cocktail sausage. Thread six sausages wrapped in bacon on to each of 4 skewers. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
3. Brush the grid of the grill pan with a little olive oil, place the skewered sausages and bacon on the grid and grill 7.5 cm (3 in) from the heat for 5 minutes on each side.
4. Arrange the skewers on a heated platter and serve immediately, garnished with tomato wedges and watercress.
