200 g (7 oz) Potatoes, thinly sliced
1/2 cup (60 g) 2 oz Onions, thinly sliced
2 tbsp (30 ml) 1 fl oz Vegetable oil
1 tsp (2 g) Turmeric (haldi) powder
Salt to taste
2 tsp (4 g) Red chilli powder
1/2 cup (125 ml) 4 fl oz Water
method
1. Heat the oil in a wok (kadhai); add onions and saute till light pink in colour.
2. Add potatoes and saute for 3 - 4 minutes.
3. Add turmeric powder, salt, red chilli powder, and water.
4. Cook on medium heat till the potatoes are done and the mixture has dried. Serve hot.
