method
1. Mix the flours and sugar together in a bowl. Rub the margarine into the mixture and knead to form a soft dough.
2. Roll out to 1/4 inch (5 mm) thick and cut out 3 inch (7.5 cm) stars.
3. Cut 1 inch (2.5 cm) plain circles from the centre of half the stars.
4. Brush the remaining stars with beaten egg and top with the holed stars.
Bake for 30 minutes at Mark 3 (160°C) 325°F. Cool. Fill each centre with a teaspoon of low sugar jam.
