Pea Rice

ingredients

10 oz (300 g) Japanese rice or short grain rice
5 oz (150 g) frozen peas
3 tbsps sake

method

1. Place rice in a saucepan with 16 fl oz (480 ml) water and a pinch of salt and bring to boil.

2. Gently simmer, covered, for 3 minutes, add peas and cook for a further 10 minutes.

3. Remove from heat and allow to stand for 10 minutes, stir in sake and turn into individual bowls.
