1. Bring a large saucepan of water to the boil. Add a generous pinch of salt.
2. Prepare the Brussels sprouts and add to the boiling water to boil fast, uncovered, for up to 15 minutes or until they are just tender. Drain in a colander.
3. Toast the sesame seeds without any oil or fat, spread out in a large non-stick coated frying pan for 1-2 minutes over a moderate heat, stirring continuously to prevent them overcooking or burning. Remove from the heat.
4. Heat the olive oil in the emptied saucepan used to boil the Brussels sprouts, add the sprouts and stir gently over a low heat for 2-3 minutes. Transfer to a heated serving dish, sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve at once.
