method
1. Place the flours, baking powder, salt, sugar, cherries and walnuts in a bowl and mix well.
2. Lightly whisk together the egg, milk and butter. Stir into the dry ingredients and mix until evenly blended.
3. Spoon into 12 greased muffin tins and bake at 200°C (400°F) mark 6 for 25 minutes.
Cool in the tin for 5 minutes before turning out.
