500 g (1.1 lb) Bananas, ripe, chopped lengthwise into 4 pieces
1/2 cup (57 g) 2 oz. Rice flour
1 tsp (3 g) Sugar
1/2 tsp (3 g) Baking powder
1/2 cup (125 ml) 4 oz Water
Vegetable oil for frying
method
1. Mix the rice flour, sugar, Baking powder, and water together into a smooth batter.
2. Heat the oil in a wok (kadhai); dip the banana in the batter and deep-fry, one at a time, till golden brown. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain the excess oil on absorbent paper towels. Repeat till all the bananas are fried.
