Matho (Indian Sweetened yoghurt flavoured with saffron) recipe
ingredients
2 1/2 cups (500 g) 1.1 lb Yoghurt (dahi), hung for 2 hours in a muslin cloth
1 cup (150 g) 5 oz Sugar, ground
a few strands Saffron (kesar), soaked in 1 tsp water, crushed
8 - 10 Green cardamom (choti elaichi) seeds, powdered
method
1. Blend yoghurt and sugar together.
2. Transfer the yoghurt in a bowl. Add crushed saffron and green cardamom powder. Mix well.
